Look up, can you see those huge windows on the top floor of Gedimino Avenue 12? There used to be a photo studio there. And you know the most famous photo taken there. You’ve seen it hundreds of times by now. But have you ever wondered who was behind the camera? Her name was Aleksandra, and she, along with her mother, took over her father’s photo studio after his passing in 1915. She also traveled extensively, documenting the lives of Lithuanian peasants, orphans, famous politicians, and more.
