Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán
Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán (1570-1647), a woman who wanted to fulfil her dream of studying. The difficulty of access to university for women did not stop Feliciana from following her path. Determined, she dressed as a man and attended classes without being recognised by her classmates and professors. She graduated in canons and wrote the “Tragicomedia de los jardines y campos sabeos” and became a well-known Spanish poet and playwright, praised by great writers such as Lope de Vega.
