Woman in arts

Elisaveta Konsulova-Vazova (1881-1965) – one of the first women professional artists in Bulgaria, the first Bulgarian woman to paint a nude figure at the State School of Painting and the first woman to host a solo exhibition. Elisaveta describes her revolutionary feminist ideas regarding child-rearing in a book about education – “Book for young mothers”. She is one of the founders of the Puppet Theater and the first editor-in-chief of the magazine “Home and World”.
